Lewisburg, Walker And Ohio Residents Claime $25,000 Prizes

Shelly Batten, 52, of Walker, has claimed a $25,000 prize from the West Virginia Lottery’s Cash25 game, according to Lottery Director John Musgrave.

Purchased from Double Play Enterprises in Parkersburg, the ticket was for the drawing held March 17. Musgrave said Batten chose her own winning numbers.

In addition, Musgrave said two other top prizes have recently been claimed from Cash25 drawings.

Chaney’s Service Station in Chester sold a $25,000 “Easy Pick” winning ticket to Margaret Meyers, 68, from Minerva, Ohio for the drawing held April 6. Retired, Meyers said she would be getting a new car and paying some bills, “I also know a few people going through hard times I can help a bit.”

Patrick Sullivan from Lewisburg won his prize from an “Easy Pick” ticket bought at Cornerstone Grocery in Fairlea for the drawing held March 24.

Sullivan’s prize was a first-ever birthday gift; the winner will turn 63 on April 25.
