Four Cash25 Top Winners Since April 1

Melissa May Burgess of Nettie has claimed a $25,000 top prize from the West Virginia Lottery’s Cash25 drawing held April 16, according to Lottery Director John Musgrave.

Totaling $100,000, four of the game’s top prizes have been won since April 2, according to Musgrave. One of them has not been claimed.

Musgrave said a player from Minerva, OH claimed a $25,000 prize from a ticket purchased at Chaney’s Service Center in Chester; Speedway in Buckhannon sold a top prize ticket from the game to a player from Weston.

He said the ticket won in last night’s drawing (April 21) was purchased at Convenient Food Mart in Wheeling, but noted that it would probably be claimed at the Lottery’s regional office in Weirton.

“That’s the nice thing about our office in Wheeling. It makes it convenient for players from that area, including PA and Ohio, to get their prize checks without taking much time from work or driving the distance to Charleston.” Musgrave said the Weirton office is located at 100 Municipal Plaza and has been open since 2006.

The winning ticket claimed by Ms. Burgess was purchased from Nettie IGA. The numbers were chosen at random by the player.
