Two Cash25 Lottery Winners Claim Prizes;winner From Hugheston Claims Four Prizes Totaling $100,000;

David Querry of Hugheston has claimed four Cash25 prizes totaling $100,000 from Monday’s drawing (May 11), according to West Virginia Lottery Director John Musgrave.

In addition, Musgrave said the game’s top $25,000 prize was claimed today from the drawing held Friday, May 8 by Paul Spencer of Weirton.

Querry bought his ticket from Cedar Grove Go Mart; Spencer purchased his from Sunoco Mini Mart in Follansbee.

Querry, an inloader operator at a coal mine, said he picked his own numbers at random. “I buy four sets of Cash25 numbers twice a month and Powerball when the jackpot gets high.”

Querry said that five years ago he won $13,500 playing Daily4, and won a trip to Hawaii “back when the Lottery had a wheel spin.” He said the winning tickets will buy new tires for a son’s car and a week-end trip to the beach for another son. “I called my accountant about the rest.”

As for his $25,000 top prize, Spencer said he picked his numbers at random. “I’ll save most of it,” Spencer said. Married 53 years, the winner is retired from Wheeling Pitt.
