Sistersville And Harrisville Residents Claim Cash Lottery Prizes

Martha Michaels, 78, of Sistersville and Carrel Baker, 71, of Harrisville have both claimed top cash prizes from the West Virginia Lottery’s instant games, according to Lottery Director John Musgrave.

Michaels claimed a $50,000 prize on May 14 from a Classic Slots instant ticket purchased at Par Mar #8 in Middlebourne.

Musgrave said the $40,000 Fabulous Fortune instant ticket won by Baker was purchased at Par Mar in Harrisville.

Introduced last October, the Classic Slots instant game features a variety of themes; the ticket purchased by Michaels was Double Diamond. Musgrave said that of 37 top $50,000 prizes in the game, 23 remain to be claimed.

Fabulous Fortune was introduced this past February and offered seven top $40,000 cash prizes; Musgrave said four of those remain to be claimed.

He said approximately two-thirds of the overall prizes remain to be claimed in both instant games.
