Powerball Jackpot Grows to $381 Million

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Wednesday’s Powerball® jackpot is an estimated $381 million and has a cash value of $228.1 million, making it the 17th largest Powerball® jackpot in the game’s history.

The next jackpot win will be the first Powerball jackpot win in 2019. The Powerball jackpot was last hit in New York in the December 26, 2018. Since then, Powerball has had 19 drawings in a row without a jackpot winner. Wednesday’s drawing will be the 20th draw in the current jackpot run.

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play, and $2 with the Power Play option that can multiply non-jackpot prizes. Tickets are sold in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

West Virginia players have until 9:59 p.m. ET to purchase tickets on a draw day.

Players can also download the new West Virginia Lottery convenience app from iTunes or the Google Play store. The Convenience app can locate a Lottery retailer near you and allows players to fill out a digital play slip that you can be used to purchase tickets with at any West Virginia Lottery retail location, among other features.
