Powellton Man Wins Big in First Jeep Second Chance Drawing

CHARLESTON – Darrell Hudnall of Powellton got an unexpected birthday present when officials from the West Virginia Lottery notified him that he had won a brand new 2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude 4×4 in the Lottery’s first Jeep Second-Chance drawing.

“Today is my 59th birthday and I can’t believe it,” Hudnall said.

Hudnall, a former truck driver and national gaurdsman, told lottery officials that he and his wife Connie currently have a vehicle with more than 285,000 miles on it and the new vehicle is going to be a major plus.

“We have wanted something new and just could never afford it,” he said. “I have ten children who are all grown and have held a lot of different jobs through the years. This is great news.”

People who play the West Virginia Lottery’s $3 Jeep instant game can win an ENTRY into one of the game’s second-chance drawings. Two more drawings remain. One on August first that will include a Jeep Wrangler as a prize, and another on September 26 that includes the grand prize of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Players can also win cash prizes in each of the drawings.

More than 14,000 entries were received for the first drawing and non-winning entries carry over to the next drawing in August.
