Mega Millions & Powerball Jackpots Both Above $200 Million MarkMay 10, 2019
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots have climbed above the $200 million mark.
The Friday, May 10, 2019, Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $295 million with a cash option of $181.8 million, while the Saturday, May 11, 2019, Powerball jackpot is an estimated $235 million with a cash value of $145.4 million.
West Virginia players have until 9:59 p.m. ET to purchase their tickets on a draw date. Mega Millions and Powerball tickets cost $2. For an additional $1, players can purchase the Megaplier or Powerplay options that increase the size of non-jackpot prizes won.
Proceeds from playing Powerball and Mega Millions stay in the state where they are purchased. West Virginia Lottery proceeds benefit Education, Seniors and Tourism in the Mountain State. Since 1986, the West Virginia Lottery has generated more than $10 Billion for the State of West Virginia.
