Lottery Announces Winners Of Price Is Right® Drawing

The first three of seven winners in the West Virginia Lottery’s The Price Is Right® second chance drawing were announced today by Lottery Director John Musgrave.

Musgrave said entries of the remaining four winners would be drawn on Sept. 11 for a later trip; entries received for today’s drawing will be destroyed to improve odds of winning for those entering the September event.

Today’s winners include Jerry Lowery, 73, of Sumerco, a retired contractor with four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; Bob Monk, 54, of Poca, a grandfather of two who is employed by AEP at the John Amos Power Plant; and Larry Selbe, 66, of St. Albans, a grandfather of two granddaughters “and one on the way,” who works for McKinley Middle School in St. Albans.

Patterned after the legendary game show, The Price Is Right® instant game was introduced by the West Virginia Lottery on Feb. 16. It offers players the chance to win one of seven trips to Las Vegas for a four-day, three-night trip for two as well as $1,000 spending money, a $4,000 cash prize, and tickets to attend The Price Is Right Experience Game. The first trip is scheduled for June 25–28; the second will be in Nov.

Musgrave said the seven lotteries participating in the promotion are drawing winners in their respective jurisdictions. In addition to West Virginia, they include Colorado, DC, Idaho, Kentucky, Ohio, and South Carolina. Musgrave said the names of winners attending the show will be randomly mixed and drawn for a chance to win up to $1 million on stage.

Entries for the Sept. drawing are included in the The Price Is Right® instant game; tickets will be available as long as quantities last or until the Lottery announces the end of the game. Additionally, Musgrave said that only tickets purchased from WV Lottery retailers may be entered in WV drawings; tickets purchased elsewhere must be mailed to those respective lotteries.
