$50,000 Powerball Prize Claimed

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – James Walker is the lucky winner of a $50,000 Powerball prize from the Wednesday, Feb. 5 drawing.
“I had no idea how much I won,” Walker said. “I knew I matched the Powerball number and I took it to the store where I bought the ticket and they scanned it for me. That is when I found out. I was floored.”
His lucky ticket, which matched four numbers plus the Powerball number, was one of five quick picks. He bought the ticket at Trodgon’s Super Serve in Kistler.
Walker says he plays Powerball for a little over a year now on a semi-regular basis. He usually buys $10 worth of Powerball tickets when he does play and he says he has plans for his winnings.
“I am going to buy a new vehicle,” Walker said. “I am probably going to get a small SUV. I have been driving the same vehicle for years now and I can use a better one.”
