Nearly 600 Retailers to Participate in Give & Win Food Drive

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Approximately 600 retailers throughout the state are participating in the West Virginia Lottery’s annual “Give and Win Food Drive” that will be conducted from November 5th through November 9th.

For every non-perishable, canned food donation at any participating West Virginia Lottery retailer, the donor will receive one free West Virginia Lottery promotional ticket, while supplies last.

All food items collected will be distributed by the individual retail locations to local food banks and charities of their choice throughout West Virginia. Expired canned food items will not be accepted.

“The Give and Win Food drive was started in 2006 in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of the West Virginia Lottery, and it was so successful that we decided make it an annual event,” West Virginia Lottery Director John Musgrave said. “This effort is coming at an important time considering the impact of the recent storm. West Virginians are known for their generosity and our network of participating retailers have partnered with us to help make a difference in our state and local communities.”
