Lottery Announces Winners Of Second Mega Monopoly™ Drawing

The West Virginia Lottery’s first-place, $5,000 winner in today’s Mega Monopoly™ drawing was Donna Seaman of Parkersburg, according to Lottery Director John Musgrave.

Employed by the US Bureau of the Public Debt, Ms. Seaman has four children and two grandchildren. Beside herself with excitement, the winner exclaimed, “Oh my! I just wrecked my car, it’s the greatest timing.”

Second in winnings but not excitement, French Creek resident Paula Heater said her $2,500 prize put her on top of the world. “My left hand was itching earlier, this must be why. I’ve never, ever won anything like this before . . . I might just tuck it away and save it.”

Those winning the two $1,000 prizes were Eva Mullins of Crab Orchard and Tom Hoffman of Wheeling. Married with two grown children and three grandchildren, Ms. Mullins said she retired after 37-years as an administrative assistant.

Hoffman is retired from the WV Department of Transportation and said he plans to put his money toward a side car for his motorcycle. He and his wife have two grown children.

Musgrave said a $150,000 grand prize drawing is scheduled for Dec. 16. While winning entries from previous drawings will be discarded, Musgrave said all non-winning tickets would be included in the final drawing.
