Beaver Resident Wins $100,000 Playing The West Virginia Lottery’s Golden Key Game
November 5, 2012CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia Lottery Director John Musgrave announced today that Isaac Alderman of Beaver, W.Va., has claimed a $100,000 prize from the West Virginia Lottery’s $10 instant game Golden Key.
Alderman, who works for United Coal, purchased the lucky ticket at Little General #2180 in Beaver.
Alderman gave the ticket to his wife who had the fun of scratching off the matching 27 with the $100,000 amount underneath it.
“She started laughing and couldn’t stop laughing as she kept scratching off the zeros,” he said. “We have never had a big winner like this before.”
He and his wife already have plans for their winnings. The Aldermans plan to purchase a new Mustang and buy their daughter a car. They also plan on purchasing an ATV for their son and pay off some bills.
According to Musgrave the Golden Key game has three top prizes of $100,000, five prizes of $25,000, and a total of more than $2,862,000 remaining.
