Parkersburg Man Wins $50,000 Instantly Playing Joker Mania

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia Lottery Director John Musgrave announced today that Jeremy Varner of Parkersburg has claimed a $50,000 prize from the Lottery’s $5 instant game Joker Mania.

“I play Powerball weekly and scratch-off tickets occasionally,” Varner said. “I have never won anything like this before.”

Varner, 33, purchased the winning ticket at Par Mar store #20 on Grand Central Avenue in Parkersburg.

“I have no plans for it. I am just going to save it,” Varner said.

Varner is the first player to cash in a $50,000 prize from Joker Mania and five additional $50,000 top prizes are still in the game.
