Daily3 Players Win Big

Charleston, W.Va. – The West Virginia Lottery’s Daily3 players won more money – a lot more money – than they played for the drawing held Wednesday, Feb. 27, according to Lottery Director John Musgrave.

Musgrave said the Daily3 drawing generated $26,758 in sales; the winning numbers 222 could payout prizes totaling $302,500 – 1,135 percent more than sales, making it the highest percentage payout of sales in the game’s history.

The payout is also the second largest cash payout for the game. The record high for the game is $344,750 for the numbers 123 on January 13, 1996. That drawing previously held the percentage payout to sales record at 885%.

The Daily3 game was introduced in March 1987.  Drawings are conducted Monday through Saturday at 6:59 p.m.
